- Demographic survey of the village is done and pamphlets are distributed to the villages about the centre.
- Locations for STS are identified - rented accommodation, local temple or local government building or in some cases the residences of the Teachers themselves.
- The best educated women are selected from the villages to become Teachers.
- An elaborate Training Programme is then administered to the Teacher before she can start classes.
- Teachers are encouraged to meet parents and convince them to enroll their children at STS.
- There is also constant development and supply of necessary study and sports materials, first aid kits, basic medicines, hygiene products etc.
