Skill India Program- A Path Breaking Initiative - Skill Training for the Rural Youth of Tamil Nadu
Swami Vivekananda Rural Development Society, as part of its services to the Rural villages of Tamil Nadu, has recently inaugurated a Skill Training Centre in Sriperumbudur to provide opportunities in Skill Training in various programs for the youth and men & women from the rural areas.
The main objective is to impart Training and build expertise among the Rural Youth so as to provide them with Skill sets and make them economically independent.
There is an immense talent and potential in the rural villages and our aim is to impart Training in various programs, leading to direct employment and economic sustenance for people who are in dire need of such opportunities.
Courses in Computer – Basic Course, Web Designing, Tally, Digital Marketing are being offered.
More than 750 men & women have undergone training in these programs.
It is proposed to start Courses in Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, Carpentry, Mobile Servicing, Fitter, AC & Refrigeration, Carpentry, Two-Wheeler Mechanism and Hardware Services.
In addition, Coaching for T.N.P.S.C., Bank Exams & Railway Recruitment Board are also being offered.
This project is aligned with the SKILL INDIA Program initiated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister – Shri.Narendra Modi ji.
All the Skill Training Programs are offered FREE OF COST.A state-of-the-art Skill Training Centre has been set up in a 9,000 sqft building in Ulundai, near Sriperumbudur and was inaugurated on 24th July 2022.
We have TVS Motors as our Partners for the Training in Two-Wheeler Mechanism and expect to partner with many top-notch companies in the coming months.
